A Magical Place

Take the usual suspects at Joe’s, The Professor for example, and a fantastical observation emerges: none of them age. Yup, I know that’s absurd. Even if it does appear that way, it is probably for the same reason as not noticing yourself age. Even so, I’ll say it’s magic and not one of them has aged. I think that place would be an apt setting for a pretty wack fairy tale.

Usually a lack of aging is presented in fairy tales as either a blessing or a curse (and myths and legends and so ons). What would it be at Joe’s?

I always saw Joe’s as the same scene being acted out a million times with only slight variations. Tres French.

Re: Blessing or curse. No one there knows because the place exists outside of time. No one remembers the past or anticipates the future. There’s no past (by past, I also mean the present that passed them by and now is their past) to pine for and there’s no future to embrace. There’s also no past to escape and no future to fear.
